About Me

My Family & Education

Dennis C. McGee, Jr., CFSP, CPC was born and raised in Blackwood, Camden County, NJ. He is the son of lifetime blackwood resident Dennis C. McGee, Sr. and Suzanne McGee (nee Fialkovich) formerly of Cherry Hill. Dennis had attended Gloucester Twp. Elementary School, Charles W. Lewis Middle School and had graduated from Highland Regional High School. Dennis attended Mercer County Community College in Trenton, NJ and graduated as Vice President from the Mortuary Science program with Associate Degrees in Science, Applied Science and with a cretificate of Proficiency in Funeral Service. Dennis was the recipient of the 1999 Peter P. Horvath Award for outstanding academic excellence. He received his funeral service practitioners license in September of 1999. Currently, Dennis lives in Riverside, NJ with his wife Kristy (nee Young) McGee, formerly of Stratford, their daughter Emma Grace and the cat and dog Boots and Barkley.

Dennis began his apprentice training in funeral service at the Henry Funeral Home in Audubon, NJ in 1995 where he is currently employed. He finished hs apprentice training with the Saul Funeral Homes in Mercer County, NJ in 1999 and had worked at the Sweeney Funeral Home in Riverside, NJ until 2007 as a licensed funeral director and Manager of the funeral home.

  • current limited Pennsylvania reciprocal license, PA Lic. No. 502 and in pursuit of full licensure in PA
  • Member of the Academy of Professional Funeral Service Practice and has been a certified Funeral Service Practitioner since 2001.

Community Involvement and Associations

Dennis is a Parishioner of Jesus The Good Sheppard Parish at St. Peters Church in Riverside. He is a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, currently a member of the Santa Maria Knights of Columbus, Council 1443 in Haddon Twp. and had previously been a member, Past Grand Knight, Trustee and social chairman of the St. John Neumann Council 1436.
 
Dennis is an active part of the Aqua String Band and takes part in the annual Mummers Parade each New Years Day in Philadelphia. He is a banjo musician and currently serves as a member of the Board of Directors as Recording Secretary and as a member of the Theme Committee.  

Dennis is a member of the Audubon Lions Club.
